It has been some time since ast posted anything. In the mix of life, days go by like hours, hours like minutes and minutes like seconds. It seems as though there is just not enough time to get it ALL done. Categories are formed as to what is most important and least and we move about our day gripping the most important and sacrificing the least. Before you know it you’ve come to the end of your life. What questions will you ask yourself? Should I have done this or that? Were my priorities in order? The questions, I imagine, could go on and on.
Actually, these are good questions to ask right now. I have found that over the years that I shouldn’t have done this or that and that my priorities were not in order, etc. Why? As a Christian it is incredibly easy to forget whose you are and why you are His. We get caught up in the mainstream flow of life and the world and in the business of everything, place the most important thing into the category of least important.
Many times I have complained that I just don’t have enough time to read my Bible or time to pray or go to church. I just have so much to do!!! At these times I am convicted. Why? The God of the universe gave everything to be with me. He continually seeks to spend time with me and yearns to be a part of my life. I wanted to be His and to be in His presence always. So what happened? As life goes on it can be more and more challenging to spend time with God. Am I willing to make sacrifices to keep the main thing the main thing… My relationship with Jesus is strong and healthy
Granted, I still need to do the things of the day… work, raise my kid, take care of my wife… But if I don’t take time for the One who strengthens me & who gives me direction and right perspective. The One who overflows me with His love and mercy; The One who gave His life for me; how is my life and the tasks in it going to have purpose and meaning? Everything will pass, seasons will come and go. When you find yourself with nothing but Jesus, you will find that He is enough. Matthew 6:25-34 encourages me to seek and trust God in everything.

In life we can find our selves in different situations and places. The road of life has many turns, detours and ups and downs. As Christians we will have a decision to make at every bend and every stop in this crazy and adventurous journey. Will we follow Christ or not? We are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Matthew 25:35-40 says:
‘For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’”Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ “The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.”
We find an application of this in Luke 10:30-37. It says:
In reply Jesus said: “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he fell into the hands of robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, took him to an inn and took care of him. The next day he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’ “Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?” The expert in the law replied, “The one who had mercy on him.” Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.”
We are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus as we travel the road of life He has given us!
