I always love Fall. Mainly because I feel that the heat is supposed to leave (not today in Phx), and that ministry kicks in gear. Families have come back from vacations, kids are in school, and rhythms of life get back going again.
For us at Calvary North Church it means a new season of the following (of which I encourage you to plug in):
1) A new 6 week series begins on Sundays beginning September 13th in the book of Amos. We've called it "Doing what's right in a wrong world". Make plans to join us and I know you'll be blessed.
2) Midweek ministry starts back up on September 16th with a new series called "Living Like Jesus" as we go through the letters of Paul from prison (Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 2 Timothy). We also have ministry specifically designed for kids (4-12 years old), & a mid week teen ministry as well. This is a night designed for the whole family.
3) Small groups and men's and women's studies kick in gear on various days & nights. Check out more under "events" and "sign ups" on the webpage. These studies and groups help cultivate community and Biblical instruction. It's often the small groups where we build friendships and do life together.
4) New outreaches and events come about. Whether it's a men's retreat or breakfast, a homeless outreach, a woman's event or young adults dinner, or just any number of get together in Jesus' Name, they all are a fresh work of God's Spirit within us.
So embrace the fall (even though it doesn't feel like things are cooling down) and remember that the Lord loves you and wants to continue to grow you up in His grace and truth in Jesus.
