There is a very important model of a dad in scripture that was "behind the scenes". He didn't have any books named after him like a Nehemiah or Ezra. He didn't take up chapter after chapter like a Moses or Daniel. So who is this obscure yet very important dad? Joseph, the father of Jesus. He was a man of godly character, a man who provided, protected, and lead his family in tough times, and a man who worked hard. He has one of the most (if not the most) important tasks: Be a father figure to Jesus. What a great model for dads today that we can thank God for.
